After installation, the window "trial (evaluatieversie)" is shown, here you will be asked to install the trial of the pay version. Choose refuse (Weigeren), if you like the program, you can install at a later date.

Using Malwarebytes

After Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is started and before we make a scan, update the program, always do this before a scan is run.

• Click at the top on the Update tab.
• Click on Check for updates (Controleer op updates).

 
The program is updated.

• Click at the top on the Settings (Instellingen) tab. Especially the scan settings are interesting.

• Click on the Scan Settings (Scaninstellingen) tab. Here we can choose what can and can not be scanned. The default settings are good. You can also take a look at "General Settings (Algemene intellingen)" and "Scan Settings (Scaninstellingen)". "Task Scheduler Setup (Taakplannerinstellingen)" is only possible as the paid version.

We are now ready to perform a scan

• Click at the top on the Scanner tab.
• Choose "Quick Scan (Snelle scan)" or "full scan (volledige scan)", "scan-flash" is only possible with the paid version.
• Click on Scan.
• The scan may take some time.

After the scan is complete, this screen is visible, there also follow a log file indicating what has been done and what malicious objects are removed.
